Taylls OS

Free runtime. Run in the browser — or optional native file. Author: Taylls.

Why it cannot “auto-run Terminal” from this page: Every OS has a terminal, but the browser is sandboxed — a website is not allowed to open Terminal/CMD/PowerShell/Termux and execute commands (that would be a drive-by attack). So install cannot start itself in a real shell from the web.

What runs automatically: the browser Runtime (no terminal, no local directory). Tap Run Taylls OS in browser. Optional native .sh still needs one manual paste/double-click — that is an OS security rule, not a Taylls limit.

Any Linux/macOS (auto detect→compat→install)
bash installers/install-device.sh
System reflash Android (after preflight)
bash installers/install-device.sh --system --confirm FLASH --device SERIAL --image system.img

Every native installer runs hardware detect + compatibility before install. Reflash always runs preflight-reflash.sh first — locked / mismatched devices are refused (nothing written).

No terminal on this phone?

Android will not run a tapped script from Files. You need exactly one of: Termux on the phone, or USB debugging from a computer. Rooting is not required and is not part of Taylls OS.

From a computer — enable USB debugging, accept the key, double-click Run-on-phone.command (macOS) or run bash scripts/phone-run.sh. It pushes, checksums, installs, forwards the port, and opens the OS.

Phone only — install Termux from F-Droid or its GitHub releases (not the old Play Store build). Paste the step-1 command. With Termux:Boot installed, the shell restarts after reboot.

Open the OS

Browser Runtime is ready — no local install directory needed.

Where binaries land

Android (adb shell) → /data/local/tmp/taylls-os/bin
Android (Termux) → $HOME/.taylls-os/bin
Linux / macOS → ~/.local/bin (or /usr/local/bin as root)
Windows → %LOCALAPPDATA%\taylls-os\bin
Any browser / iOS → https://taylls-os.poketed.com/run/ (no local directory)
iOS native binary → blocked by Apple; use /run/ + Taylls app

/sdcard is noexec on Android — never put binaries there.

Actions

install detect + install + start shell (default)
serve start shell from an existing install (after reboot)
check report platform only
extract unpack payload and stop

Runtime installs beside your OS (free local shell). After open, use Install Everything and type FLASH (unlocked Android) or ERASE (PC disk) for System full OS replacement. Locked devices stay Runtime-only (anti-brick). Offered by Taylls — never billed inside the OS.
